Mannerheim's Petri Korpisalo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 13 minutes into the game, Miska Viisala recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Amadeu Prado. Miska Viisala showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Miska Viisala hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Petri Korpisalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miska Viisala hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Nelson Mandrak put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Petri Korpisalo. After 36 played minutes Sport Club Mavericks got a freekick which was hit by Eugênio Leme. Matti Peltola received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Amadeu Prado came out and tried to block the shot, but Matti Peltola slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 37th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nelson Mandrak in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petri Korpisalo prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Sport Club Mavericks's Marcus Proença was substituted for André Luís Fonseca. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oscar Prado to strike the kick off in the second half. Petri Korpisalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateus Novaes in the 53rd minute of play. Oscar Prados short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Petri Korpisalo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Petri Korpisalo managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Sport Club Mavericks's Oscar Prado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Oscar Prado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Petri Korpisalo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 66th play minutes Oscar Prado shot 2-6, a short shot which went by Petri Korpisalo and just under the crossbar into goal. Petri Korpisalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juvenal Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Aníbal de Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Vitório Donatello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petri Korpisalo having to interfere. Mannerheim's Petri Korpisalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Prado in the 76th minute of play. Petri Korpisalo was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Oscar Prado capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Oscar Prado really showed his touch with that goal: 2-7. After 83 played minutes Sport Club Mavericks got a freekick which was hit by Juvenal Castro. In the 84th minute, Iikka Reinikka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petri Korpisalo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 85th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Leandro de Castro. After 87 minutes, Juvenal Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sport Club Mavericks and the Mannerheim players grew even worse after the yellow card. Juvenal Castro hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Sport Club Mavericks's Geovani Favoretto suffered a sprained foot after 87 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Sampsa Harjanne's late challenge caught a Sport Club Mavericks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sampsa Harjanne helped the player get up and apologised. Sampsa Harjanne kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Marcus Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Mannerheim's Miska Viisala got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Oscar Prado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petri Korpisalo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. In the 98th minute, Oscar Prado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petri Korpisalo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-9. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sport Club Mavericks had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
