An unexpectedly hard shot by Mar Cheze in the 14th minute of play forced Argentina's goalkeeper Lev Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Argentina's Albano Jaunzuria got a free kick in the 15th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albano Jaunzuria in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aron Chindriș prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isac Zub in the 18th minute of play forced Argentina's goalkeeper Lev Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Mar Cheze's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lev Yashin was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Benedicto Naelio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aron Chindriș read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Argentina's goalkeeper Lev Yashin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iustin Bâru. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Mar Cheze made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Iustin Bâru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iustin Bâru in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lev Yashin saved Argentina from getting behind. 62 minutes into the game, Romania's Petre Iftode nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lev Yashin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Romania made a substitution. Pavel Alexandru replaced Iustin Bâru. Romania's Virgil Enoaia was substituted for Francisc Turcu. Lev Yashin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavel Alexandru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lev Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Eugen in the 70th minute of the match. Argentina made a substitution. Amado Arotza replaced Benedicto Naelio. Aron Chindriș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Arotza in the 76th minute of play. Claudio Domeka did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Aron Chindriș 84 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, Argentina's Amado Arotza ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aron Chindriș. Aron Chindriș yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudio Domeka got free with Aron Chindriș in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
