After a defensive mix-up in Bulgaria's zone, Dalibor Kaplanović stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bogdan Samokovliyski came out of the goal and Dalibor Kaplanović tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marko Ruskov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marko Ruskov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miro Sejdić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Bulgaria's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Deyan Petrinski in the 13th minute. Miro Sejdić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Slavi Borisov in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Šemsudin Kamber made a precise shot to the right of Bogdan Samokovliyski. Bulgaria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marko Ruskov got free with Miro Sejdić in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Belcho Drúndev kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Marko Ruskov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Miro Sejdić made a huge save. Miro Sejdić came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Bulgaria's Marko Ruskov. But to his dismay, Marko Ruskov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Bosnia And Hercegovina's Miro Sejdić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Bosnia And Hercegovina from getting a goal against them. 45 minutes into the match, Bulgaria's goal looked a bit too open when Dalibor Kaplanović came free, but Bogdan Samokovliyski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Bosnia And Hercegovina's Miro Sejdić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marko Ruskov in the 51st minute of play. Bogdan Samokovliyski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dalibor Kaplanović in the 52nd minute. After 52 minutes, Belcho Drúndev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bulgaria and the Bosnia And Hercegovina players grew even worse after the yellow card. With his leg Bogdan Samokovliyski managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Bosnia And Hercegovina's Dalibor Kaplanović fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Marko Ruskov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miro Sejdić was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Bogdan Samokovliyski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalibor Kaplanović in the 56th minute of play. Miro Sejdić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marko Ruskov, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After a rather tough play, Bosnia And Hercegovina's Vezir Velidović got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Bogdan Samokovliyski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalibor Kaplanović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Bulgaria's Marko Ruskov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miro Sejdić narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Miro Sejdić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marko Ruskov in the 69th minute of the match. Bulgaria made a substitution. Lachezar Kavaldzhiev replaced Slavi Borisov. Dževad Kasimović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Šemsudin Kamber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Bogdan Samokovliyski made a huge save. 83 minutes into the match, Bulgaria's goalkeeper Bogdan Samokovliyski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dževad Kasimović. Martin Petkov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miro Sejdić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. From a short distance, Bosnia And Hercegovina's Jasin Jelić, in the 87th minute, tried to place the ball behind Bogdan Samokovliyski, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. In the 87th minute, Dževad Kasimović ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bogdan Samokovliyski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 91st minute Jasin Jelić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Samokovliyski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th match minute, Bosnia And Hercegovina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zumbul Nurković to maneuver through the defense. The Bosnia And Hercegovina supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bosnia And Hercegovina would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
