Gery Burhanuddin scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robin Erbler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Manuel Antono made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Raphael Ulrich sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of U21 Austria booed when U21 Indonesia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gery Burhanuddin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robin Erbler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gery Burhanuddin, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 27th match minute, U21 Indonesia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yonas Sutrisna to maneuver through the defense. After 27 minutes of play, U21 Austria's Timo Kaltenbach made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Antono was left in no man's land by his defense there! Patrick Aigner might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Antono. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patrick Aigner ran back to his position shaking his head. Robin Erbler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gery Burhanuddin in the 44th minute of play. Timo Kaltenbach took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Antono. Manuel Antono dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gery Burhanuddin in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robin Erbler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The U21 Indonesia fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when U21 Indonesia's Gery Burhanuddin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Robin Erbler made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Gery Burhanuddin sent off a good shot on target. 63 minutes into the match, U21 Austria's goalkeeper Robin Erbler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gery Burhanuddin. Robin Erbler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gery Burhanuddin in the 65th minute of play. In the 71st minute Timo Kaltenbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Antono saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Antono took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timo Kaltenbach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven-Christian Zupancic charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sven-Christian Zupancic the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, U21 Austria's Sven-Christian Zupancic got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 83rd minute, U21 Indonesia's Gery Burhanuddin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. A hard shot 86 in the game by Gery Burhanuddin from a close distance when the talented Robin Erbler managed to make a qualified save. U21 Austria's players were relieved. Gery Burhanuddins short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Robin Erbler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 91 played minutes U21 Indonesia got a freekick which was hit by Adit Alatas. Manuel Antono showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Moritz Busse, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 97th minute, U21 Austria's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Roni Arisandy fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
