Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Caco Barbosa kicked off to start the match. Caco Barbosas short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Jan-Åke Emander to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caco Barbosa got free with Jan-Åke Emander in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jan-Åke Emander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caco Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute Gucci Prada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Heerdt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Caco Barbosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan-Åke Emander was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Sweden's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Teodoro Jacinto was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Brazil's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to U21 Brazil's João Vítor Salles getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Norberto Heerdt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gucci Prada, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. If Gucci Prada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Caco Barbosa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jan-Åke Emander came out and tried to block the shot, but Caco Barbosa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 30th minute. Jan-Åke Emander was a little too slow when Caco Barbosa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 2-1. After 41 played minutes U21 Brazil got a freekick which was hit by Mário Lendaa. In the 43rd match minute, U21 Brazil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Lövkvist in the 44th minute of play forced U21 Brazil's goalkeeper Norberto Heerdt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gucci Prada stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Ronald Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caco Barbosa in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan-Åke Emander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jan-Åke Emander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caco Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Caco Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the U21 Brazil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caco Barbosa couldn't finish the play. Jan-Åke Emander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caco Barbosa in the 59th minute of play. Jan-Åke Emander didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Caco Barbosa went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Big Benne came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Norberto Heerdt could save by the left post. U21 Brazil's Afonsinho Simões was substituted for Caco Barbosa. U21 Brazil made a substitution. Jefferson Medeiros replaced Gui Joinvilense. U21 Brazil made a substitution. Eriberto Lucas replaced Teodoro Jacinto. Norberto Heerdt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gucci Prada in the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Afonsinho Simões had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan-Åke Emander. U21 Sweden's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Afonsinho Simões was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Jan-Åke Emander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute of the match, Big Benne got a very nice opportunity to score, but Norberto Heerdt was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jan-Åke Emander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonsinho Simões in the 92nd minute of the match. After 93 minutes U21 Sweden's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Scott Travis who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Scott Travis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but U21 Sweden's Jan-Åke Emander did a great save. 94 minutes into the match, Eriberto Lucas notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of U21 Sweden's Jan-Åke Emander. Jan-Åke Emander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There was no doubt that U21 Brazil were the better team. U21 Brazil's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
