U21 Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iván Sotomayor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ariel Villagomez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Diederick Vrankx made a huge save. A throw-in in the 8th minute of the game was made by Franco Iranzo with Ariel Villagomez as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When Uzuri Sarabia came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the U21 Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uzuri Sarabia couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, U21 Belgium's Eddy Huijgens got a free kick in the 11th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Uzuri Sarabia in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diederick Vrankx prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to U21 Peru getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Lucas Huidobro hit a great ball. Yannis Depelsmaker got in the 18th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Erez Manco handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Diederick Vrankx made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Ariel Villagomez sent off a good shot on target. Uzuri Sarabia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Uzuri Sarabia sped through U21 Belgium's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Diederick Vrankx. Uzuri Sarabia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Diederick Vrankx made a huge save. After some careless play in the U21 Belgium defense, Iván Sotomayor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diederick Vrankx. The U21 Belgium fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diederick Vrankx should have stopped the shot. 33 minutes into the match, Iván Sotomayor dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Diederick Vrankx, 3-0. Diederick Vrankx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Tapia in the 38th minute of play. Ariel Villagomez scored 4-0 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diederick Vrankx, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Uzuri Sarabia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Diederick Vrankx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. U21 Peru's Vicente Locatelli was substituted for Ariel Villagomez. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yannis Depelsmaker was the one to do the kick off. Diederick Vrankx came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Peru's Kev Hurtado. But to his dismay, Kev Hurtado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After 60 played minutes U21 Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Benny Van der Poorten. In the 61st minute Kev Hurtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diederick Vrankx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Nicolas Specht in the 64th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by U21 Peru's Lucas Huidobro. 66 minutes into the match, Kev Hurtado notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of U21 Belgium's Diederick Vrankx. Diederick Vrankx was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Diederick Vrankx came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Peru's Kev Hurtado. But to his dismay, Kev Hurtado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Kev Hurtado scored 9-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diederick Vrankx, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Yannis Depelsmaker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erez Manco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Kev Hurtado notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of U21 Belgium's Diederick Vrankx. Diederick Vrankx was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vicente Locatelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Kev Hurtado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diederick Vrankx. U21 Belgium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kev Hurtado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-0. Roger Peiro lost his temper 92 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to U21 Belgium getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Eddy Huijgens hit a great ball. In the 97th minute Kev Hurtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diederick Vrankx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 100 minutes into the match, U21 Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Kev Hurtado came free, but Diederick Vrankx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erez Manco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yannis Depelsmaker in the 101st minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. U21 Peru fully deserved thier win.
