Hette Reitsma started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Lisandro Heerckes made a precise shot to the right of Diederick Vrankx. U21 Belgium's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Thomas Ommen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Diederick Vrankx made a huge save. U21 Belgium's Diederick Vrankx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Driel in the 9th minute of play. U21 Belgium's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Hette Reitsma scored to the left of an out of position Diederick Vrankx, making the score, 2-0. Hette Reitsma scored 4-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diederick Vrankx, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Radamel Hendrickx hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Hette Reitsma's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diederick Vrankx was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 27th minute Benny Van der Poorten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Maurits saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Lisandro Heerckes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Diederick Vrankx, 6-0. 36 minutes into the match, U21 Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Hette Reitsma came free, but Diederick Vrankx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 minutes of play, U21 Netherlands's Johannes Tollenaar made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diederick Vrankx was left in no man's land by his defense there! Humberto Maurits made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Huijgens in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute Thomas Ommen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diederick Vrankx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diederick Vrankx made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Johannes Tollenaar sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 7-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Yannis Depelsmaker made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Hette Reitsma notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of U21 Belgium's Diederick Vrankx. Diederick Vrankx was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 54th minute, Hette Reitsma made a precise shot to the right of Diederick Vrankx. U21 Belgium's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. In the 56th minute, Johannes Tollenaar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diederick Vrankx was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. The crowd rose to their feet as U21 Belgium's Yannis Depelsmaker slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Humberto Maurits. That made the score 10-1 after 60 minutes of play. 63 minutes into the game, Nicolas Specht threw the ball into play from the sideline. U21 Netherlands's Lindi Zegers quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Diederick Vrankx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Heerckes, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. If Benny Van der Poorten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute of the game Pieter-Jan Blanker made a throw-in which Lisandro Heerckes played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogier de Kort in the 70th minute of play forced U21 Belgium's goalkeeper Diederick Vrankx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 73 minutes of play, U21 Netherlands's Rogier de Kort made it 11-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diederick Vrankx was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Veto Steller during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of U21 Netherlands booed when U21 Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Veto Steller didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 82 minutes of play, U21 Netherlands's Rogier de Kort made it 12-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diederick Vrankx was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 84 played minutes U21 Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Jelte Reitsma. U21 Belgium's Diederick Vrankx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogier de Kort in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, U21 Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Rogier de Kort came free, but Diederick Vrankx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Radamel Hendrickx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Maurits having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Florian De Werdt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Belgium's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Netherlands the free kick. After 95 played minutes U21 Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Florian De Werdt. When the referee ended the match the U21 Netherlands players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
