The crowd rose to their feet as Xandão Crouch kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jenaro Coronel. That made the score 2-0 in the 6 minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, U21 Dominican Republic's goal looked a bit too open when Xandão Crouch came free, but Jenaro Coronel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xandão Crouch got free with Jenaro Coronel in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes into the match, U21 Dominican Republic's goalkeeper Jenaro Coronel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xandão Crouch. 20 minutes into the game, Miguel Ángel Seijas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Dominican Republic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Brazil the free kick. Miguel Ángel Seijas kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Xandão Crouch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jenaro Coronel was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Xandão Crouch capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Xandão Crouch really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. In the 29th minute André Piø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jenaro Coronel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute U21 Brazil were awarded a corner. Cai Otto went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on U21 Brazil's corner Cai Otto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jenaro Coronel quite easily take care of the ball. Jenaro Coronel was a little too slow when Xandão Crouch got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 4-0. With his leg Jenaro Coronel managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when U21 Brazil's Xandão Crouch fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Jenaro Coronel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Lucas in the 66th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, André Luís Zanette had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jenaro Coronel. U21 Dominican Republic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Luís Zanette was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. After 75 played minutes U21 Dominican Republic got a freekick which was hit by Epifanio Zárate. Cristian Daniele kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Gui Joinvilense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 7-0 when André Luís Zanette sped through U21 Dominican Republic's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jenaro Coronel. 85 minutes into the match, U21 Dominican Republic's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Lucas came free, but Jenaro Coronel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jenaro Coronel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from André Luís Zanette went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score.
