Ronny Sjahrir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erwin Soto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Paraguay's zone, Weldy Sudaryanto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oliveiro Comacho came out of the goal and Weldy Sudaryanto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute Weldy Sudaryanto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliveiro Comacho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Raihan Sonjaya put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Oliveiro Comacho. In the 23rd minute Raihan Sonjaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliveiro Comacho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raihan Sonjaya in the 27th minute of play forced U21 Paraguay's goalkeeper Oliveiro Comacho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Desta Sujarwadi took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oliveiro Comacho. Oliveiro Comacho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. U21 Paraguay made a substitution. Guerau Codosal replaced Evelio Mahabe. When Desta Sujarwadi came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the U21 Indonesia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Desta Sujarwadi couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, Weldy Sudaryanto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronny Sjahrir was a little too slow when Erwin Soto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Indonesia's goalkeeper Ronny Sjahrir, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. U21 Paraguay's Bras Ordoñez managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Entis Kartolo in the 42 minute of the game. 44 minutes into the match, U21 Indonesia's goal looked a bit too open when Erwin Soto came free, but Ronny Sjahrir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Erwin Soto made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, U21 Paraguay's Erwin Soto made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronny Sjahrir was left in no man's land by his defense there! 60 minutes into the match, U21 Paraguay's goalkeeper Oliveiro Comacho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Weldy Sudaryanto. Ronny Sjahrir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erwin Soto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to U21 Paraguay getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Erwin Soto hit a great ball. U21 Paraguay's Emesto Paul was substituted for Pablo Gentil. After a rather tough play, U21 Paraguay's Erwin Soto got a free kick in the 68th minute. Oliveiro Comacho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raihan Sonjaya in the 75th minute. In the 77th match minute, U21 Indonesia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Entis Kartolo to maneuver through the defense. Entis Kartolo hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Erwin Soto struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Ronny Sjahrir didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Paraguay. Guerau Codosal kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. U21 Paraguay's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Jökull Barang scored to the left of an out of position Oliveiro Comacho, making the score, 2-3. Ronny Sjahrir came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Paraguay's Erwin Soto. But to his dismay, Erwin Soto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3.
