Seating: 2378, VIP seats: 206) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Xandão Crouch got the match started through his kick off. When U21 Brazil's Xandão Crouch in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Chile's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xandão Crouch in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Saka Goleš prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of U21 Brazil booed when U21 Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Free Pass didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute of the game Norberto Brito made a throw-in which Xandão Crouch played forward. André Piø received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Saka Goleš tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yerko Gold in the 9th minute of play forced U21 Brazil's goalkeeper Norberto Heerdt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guillermo Velarde lost his temper 11 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After having played for 13 minutes, Cai Otto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Brazil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cai Otto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, U21 Brazil's Cai Otto got a free kick in the 17th minute. Norberto Heerdt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yerko Gold in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute Yerko Gold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Heerdt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 played minutes U21 Chile got a freekick which was hit by Benito Camelo. Saka Goleš was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cai Otto. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xandão Crouch got free with Saka Goleš in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
U21 Brazil's André Luís Zanette was substituted for Xandão Crouch. The wind increased when Yerko Gold made the kick off in the second half. Norberto Heerdt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tobías Aliaga in the 53rd minute. U21 Chile's Saka Goleš played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luís Zanette in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute Yerko Gold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Heerdt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of U21 Chile booed when U21 Brazil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luís Zanette didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Severo Aninat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Free Pass hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adrián Frick during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th minute, Adrián Frick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute André Luís Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saka Goleš saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Cai Otto fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Brazil's protests and gave Cai Otto a yellow card for diving instead. Cai Otto hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling André Luís Zanette in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. U21 Brazil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Chile the free kick. In the 96th match minute, U21 Brazil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Brito to maneuver through the defense. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
