Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Raúl Quintanilla started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute of the match, Corrado Zinni got a very nice opportunity to score, but Paradorn Todor was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to U21 El Salvador getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Joselito Rey hit a great ball. A throw-in in the 11th minute of the game was made by Joselito Rey with Antonio Paredes as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. With a little luck, U21 El Salvador's Paradorn Todor got control of the ball when Achraf Hakimi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in U21 El Salvador's zone, Carlo Borgatello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paradorn Todor came out of the goal and Carlo Borgatello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlo Borgatello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paradorn Todor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felice De Felice got free with Paradorn Todor in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute U21 Italy were awarded a corner. Achraf Hakimi went to the cornerflag to take it. Frodo Di Marco hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute Raúl Quintanilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Peruzzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 minutes of play, U21 Italy's Carlo Borgatello made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paradorn Todor was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 El Salvador's goalkeeper Paradorn Todor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joselito Rey kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Paradorn Todor made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Carlo Borgatello sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd minute, Carlo Borgatello made a precise shot to the right of Paradorn Todor. U21 El Salvador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlo Borgatello made a kick off. Paradorn Todor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlo Borgatello in the 51st minute of the match. U21 Italy were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after U21 El Salvador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Achraf Hakimi took the corner. 59 minutes into the match, U21 Italy's goalkeeper Angel Peruzzi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ismael Portillo. 61 minutes into the game, Antonio Paredes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Angel Peruzzi. Antonio Paredes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. U21 Italy made a substitution. Pietro Romeo replaced Corrado Zinni. In the 66th minute Carlo Borgatello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paradorn Todor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paradorn Todor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlo Borgatello, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Paradorn Todor came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Italy's Carlo Borgatello. But to his dismay, Carlo Borgatello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. 72 minutes into the game, Armando Giron was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 El Salvador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Italy the free kick. In the 72nd minute, Armando Giron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. U21 Italy's Lautaro-Gabriel Martinez was substituted for Carlo Borgatello. The supporters of U21 Italy booed when U21 El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Giron didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Lautaro-Gabriel Martinez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paradorn Todor was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Armando Giron got his second yellow card in the match during the 76th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. When U21 Italy's Lautaro-Gabriel Martinez in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 El Salvador's goalie prevented a goal. 80 minutes into the game, U21 Italy's Lautaro-Gabriel Martinez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paradorn Todor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. In the 94th match minute, U21 El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Portillo to maneuver through the defense. U21 Italy's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
