Seating: 2371, VIP seats: 206) Bo Cantona made the kick off and thus started the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guaberto Valiente in the 2nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Krile prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guaberto Valiente in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Krile saved U21 Croatia from getting behind. Ivan Krile came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Argentina's Virgilio Lawrence. But to his dismay, Virgilio Lawrence quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Sebastián Junes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Toni Mačković's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. U21 Croatia were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after U21 Argentina's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bo Cantona took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Toni Mačković managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Siniša Stjepanović hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Virgilio Lawrence's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivan Krile read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Ivan Krile showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Lawrence in the 26th minute of the match. U21 Argentina's attentive Juan Huerta managed to snatch the ball when Sofyan Amrabat made a throw-in in the 29th minute of the game. Virgilio Lawrence took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivan Krile. Ivan Krile dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Ivan Krile showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Lawrence, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Virgilio Lawrence took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivan Krile. Ivan Krile dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After 39 minutes of play, U21 Argentina's Virgilio Lawrence made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivan Krile was left in no man's land by his defense there! 42 minutes into the game, Sofyan Amrabat threw the ball into play from the sideline. U21 Argentina's Juan Huerta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 45 minutes into the game, Sofyan Amrabat threw the ball into play from the sideline. U21 Argentina's Teodoro Esquipula quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.
U21 Croatia made a substitution. Bo Ibrahimović replaced Franjo Fabijanić. After 54 played minutes U21 Argentina got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Valiente. In the 56th minute, Bo Ibrahimović left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Croatia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Bo Cantona struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Sebastián Junes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Croatia. U21 Croatia's Vlaho Ćavar was substituted for Siniša Stjepanović. U21 Argentina made a substitution. Marco van Basten replaced Virgilio Lawrence. After a rather tough play, U21 Croatia's Bo Nesta got a free kick in the 65th minute. Ángel Cristos hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute Bo Ibrahimović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Junes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vlaho Ćavar hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, U21 Argentina's Marco van Basten ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ivan Krile. Ivan Krile yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. Sebastián Junes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bo Ibrahimović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 minutes U21 Argentina's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vlaho Ćavar who took care of the corner kick. U21 Croatia's Vlaho Ćavar was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sebastián Junes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Hrvoje Lukašek fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Croatia's protests and gave Hrvoje Lukašek a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd minute, Hrvoje Lukašek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to U21 Croatia getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Bo Nesta hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute Mislav Oršić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Junes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, U21 Croatia's Ivan Krile got control of the ball when Guaberto Valiente tried to sneak it across the goal line. U21 Argentina's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marco van Basten in the 96th minute. After taking down the ball on U21 Argentina's corner Marco van Basten fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ivan Krile quite easily take care of the ball. The U21 Argentina players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
