Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bo Cantona took the kick off in the first half of the match. Peter-Michael Schmeichel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bo Cantona, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Franjo Fabijanić's late challenge caught a U21 Poland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franjo Fabijanić helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th match minute, U21 Croatia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franjo Fabijanić to maneuver through the defense. Mike Tyson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peter-Michael Schmeichel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo Cantona in the 7th minute of play. Ivan Krile stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arkadiusz Gąsiorek's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Ivan Krile took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike Tyson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bo Cantona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pravdan Knego's late challenge caught a U21 Poland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pravdan Knego helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of U21 Poland booed when U21 Croatia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pravdan Knego didn't get a good kick on the ball. U21 Croatia's Ivan Krile played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arkadiusz Gąsiorek in the 25th minute of play. Arkadiusz Gąsiorek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Krile having to interfere. After some careless play in the U21 Croatia defense, Mike Tyson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivan Krile. The U21 Croatia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivan Krile should have stopped the shot. In the 40th match minute, U21 Croatia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siniša Stjepanović to maneuver through the defense. Arkadiusz Gąsiorek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Krile having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, U21 Croatia's Bo Cantona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter-Michael Schmeichel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
U21 Croatia made a substitution. Bo Ibrahimović replaced Franjo Fabijanić. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arkadiusz Gąsiorek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mislav Oršić's late challenge caught a U21 Poland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mislav Oršić helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, U21 Croatia's Mislav Oršić got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 70 minutes of play, U21 Poland's Mike Tyson made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivan Krile was left in no man's land by his defense there! Peter-Michael Schmeichel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo Ibrahimović in the 72nd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Ibrahimović came free, but Peter-Michael Schmeichel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Krile came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Poland's Mike Tyson. But to his dismay, Mike Tyson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. If Bo Ibrahimović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Arkadiusz Gąsiorek made a precise shot to the right of Ivan Krile. U21 Croatia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After having played for 93 minutes, Bo Cantona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Croatia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bo Cantona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bo Ibrahimović in the 95th minute of play forced U21 Poland's goalkeeper Peter-Michael Schmeichel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U21 Poland's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
