U21 Russia were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after U21 Bolivia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Albert Bulychov took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Arkadiy Medved managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. U21 Russia's Afanasiy Malitikov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dagoberto Abarca in the 17th minute of play. U21 Russia's Albert Bulychov shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 23rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Raul Abel but with some difficulty. 30 minutes into the match, U21 Bolivia's goalkeeper Raul Abel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lev Pakhomov. Ruben Da Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afanasiy Malitikov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Afanasiy Malitikov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zachary Flores, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lev Pakhomov might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raul Abel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lev Pakhomov ran back to his position shaking his head. When U21 Russia's Daniil Kondratiev in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Bolivia's goalie prevented a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniil Kondratiev was the one to do the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Daniil Kondratiev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Bolivia's Raul Abel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniil Kondratiev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Abel having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, U21 Russia's Daniil Kondratiev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raul Abel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. U21 Russia's Afanasiy Malitikov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save U21 Russia from getting a goal against them. 64 minutes into the match, Lev Pakhomov notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of U21 Bolivia's Raul Abel. Raul Abel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniil Kondratiev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raul Abel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lev Pakhomov in the 68th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, U21 Russia's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Enrique came free, but Afanasiy Malitikov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Russia's Afanasiy Malitikov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Russia from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the U21 Bolivia defense, Dmitriy Cheryshev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raul Abel. The U21 Bolivia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raul Abel should have stopped the shot. U21 Russia's Afanasiy Malitikov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Enrique in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, U21 Bolivia's Ruben Da Silva got a free kick in the 94th minute. U21 Russia walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
