In the 13th play minute Hector Dragana came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ronny Sjahrir. 1-0. U21 Ecuador's Palacios Villarinos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kader Bekas, made in the 19th minute of the game. After having played for 20 minutes, Hector Dragana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hector Dragana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roris Taramona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raihan Sonjaya, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Marlon Blue hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Kader Bekas in the 33rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by U21 Ecuador's Pat Lloret. 36 minutes into the match, U21 Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Raihan Sonjaya came free, but Roris Taramona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Indonesia's Ronny Sjahrir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Dragana in the 52nd minute of play. When Palacios Villarinos came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the U21 Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Palacios Villarinos couldn't finish the play. In the 57th match minute, U21 Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Palacios Villarinos to maneuver through the defense. U21 Ecuador's Ximun Camudio was substituted for Palacios Villarinos. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Omar Oruña in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronny Sjahrir saved U21 Indonesia from getting behind. Ronny Sjahrir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Oruña in the 65th minute of play. If Omar Oruña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. U21 Indonesia made a substitution. Jökull Barang replaced Lupe Umur. U21 Indonesia's Bandit Bandell was substituted for Achyar Samosir. Omar Oruña might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronny Sjahrir. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
