An unexpectedly hard shot by Loui Lintlav in the 16th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Efraim Leizaur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adam Gullemann hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Loui Lintlav came free, but Efraim Leizaur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denmark's Rikard Hernø played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dantae Lahoz in the 27th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Loui Lintlav came free, but Efraim Leizaur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 31 minutes, Miguel Ciscal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paraguay and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. Efraim Leizaur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ditlev Delmont, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denmark's Rikard Hernø proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Denmark from getting a goal against them. Dantae Lahozs short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Rikard Hernø to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Denmark's Rikard Hernø got control of the ball when Eate Fonoll tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Tor Dawson got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute of the match, Dantae Lahoz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rikard Hernø saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dantae Lahoz made a kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Denmark's Loui Lintlav made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Efraim Leizaur was left in no man's land by his defense there! 57 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goalkeeper Efraim Leizaur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loui Lintlav. Denmark's Rikard Hernø played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eate Fonoll in the 63rd minute of play. Denis Inestrosa kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Rikard Hernø made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eate Fonoll in the 65th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pirro Vaquero in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rikard Hernø prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Loui Lintlav kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Efraim Leizaur. That made the score 1-4 in the 68 minute of play. Paraguay's Felix Chavez was substituted for Dantae Lahoz. After 73 minutes of play, Paraguay's Felix Chavez made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rikard Hernø was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lenni Skensved hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Paraguay's Felix Chavez got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 78 minutes into the game, Gary Ayala was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paraguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. After 78 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Gary Ayala. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lenni Skensved didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felix Chavez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rikard Hernø read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Chants of Denmark echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Paraguay had held the ball for most of the match.
