Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Brazil's Neymar da Silva started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eugenio Lalli came free with the goalkeeper in the 3rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Wilton Pernambucano could save by the left post. Wilton Pernambucano was a little too slow when Fabrizio Di Gaetano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Neymar da Silva came free, but Corrado Papetti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Giovani Paulista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th minute Neymar da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corrado Papetti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilton Pernambucano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Banana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Brazil booed when Italy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Cinque didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovani Paulista in the 29th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Corrado Papetti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo Banana in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilton Pernambucano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 40 minutes into the game, Brazil's Neymar da Silva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Corrado Papetti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 46 minutes into the match, Brazil's goalkeeper Wilton Pernambucano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugenio Lalli. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Davide Di Mascio made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Banana in the 53rd minute of play forced Brazil's goalkeeper Wilton Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
