Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hans Benedict started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the match, Indonesia's goalkeeper Adrian Lelono had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wahyu Dermawan. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Malaysia's goalkeeper Steve Yarman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hans Benedict scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Steve Yarman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Hans Benedict had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sophan Supriono got free with Steve Yarman in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 83 in the game by Alam Baka from a close distance when the talented Steve Yarman managed to make a qualified save. Malaysia's players were relieved. Steve Yarman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alam Baka, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute.
