Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) U21 Switzerland's Clinton Werfel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Loramendi Valdivia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clinton Werfel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th match minute, U21 Switzerland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Piero Ritter to maneuver through the defense. U21 Spain's Loramendi Valdivia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Scheupach in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Carolo Camaño made a precise shot to the right of Christophe Troxler. U21 Switzerland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 14 minutes into the match, U21 Switzerland's goalkeeper Christophe Troxler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carolo Camaño. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clinton Werfel in the 15th minute of play forced U21 Spain's goalkeeper Loramendi Valdivia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 minutes U21 Switzerland's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jakes Arenas who took care of the corner kick. 21 minutes into the match, U21 Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Scheupach came free, but Loramendi Valdivia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Carolo Camaño had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christophe Troxler. After some careless play in the U21 Switzerland defense, Carolo Camaño kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christophe Troxler. The U21 Switzerland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christophe Troxler should have stopped the shot. Francesc Tamari hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Carolo Camaño's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christophe Troxler was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Christophe Troxler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesc Tamari, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 65th minute Francesc Tamari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christophe Troxler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Xantalen Titos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christophe Troxler was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. In the 89thth minute of the game Xantalen Titos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Switzerland's Christophe Troxler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The U21 Spain fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when U21 Spain's Xantalen Titos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of U21 Switzerland booed when U21 Spain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Reyes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, U21 Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Armando Van Bettenrode came free, but Loramendi Valdivia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Giacomozzi kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. U21 Switzerland's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
