Cristian Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dale Dolar in the 4th minute of play. In the 10th minute of the match U21 Brazil got a corner. U21 Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jean-Pierre Pogba ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to U21 Brazil's Giovanni Paulista getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 12 played minutes U21 Brazil got a freekick which was hit by Doni Cunha. Chiquito Flores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iago Bala in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Bard Bom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd match minute, U21 Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bard Bom to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xanti Gatnau, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. U21 Brazil made a substitution. Kacesvara Haagenstjerne replaced Cafu Lenzi. U21 Brazil's attentive Pedro Ferdinand managed to snatch the ball when Bard Bom made a throw-in in the 38th minute of the game. Chiquito Flores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Pierre Pogba in the 39th minute of the match. In the 44th minute of the match, Iago Bala got a very nice opportunity to score, but Chiquito Flores was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iago Bala in the 46th minute of play forced U21 Peru's goalkeeper Chiquito Flores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

U21 Peru's Jorrin Briones was substituted for Xanti Gatnau. Cristian Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dale Dolar in the 54th minute of play. When Iago Bala came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the U21 Brazil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iago Bala couldn't finish the play. U21 Peru made a substitution. Junior Quintana replaced Dale Dolar. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Iago Bala sped through U21 Peru's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Chiquito Flores. U21 Peru's attentive Bard Bom managed to snatch the ball when Pedro Ferdinand made a throw-in in the 67th minute of the game. Cristian Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Junior Quintana, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. U21 Peru's Chiquito Flores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomás Barral in the 72nd minute of play. U21 Brazil's Cristian Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Junior Quintana in the 75th minute of play. Doni Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Chiquito Flores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomás Barral in the 84th minute of the match. Cristian Salles made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Jorrin Briones sent off a good shot on target. Jorrin Brioness short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Cristian Salles to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jorrin Briones recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 93 minutes of play, U21 Brazil's Thomás Barral made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chiquito Flores was left in no man's land by his defense there! U21 Brazil's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
