In the 16th minute, Malaysia's Porman Suprianto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Bosnia And Hercegovina's Bogdan Bijedić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Bosnia And Hercegovina from getting a goal against them. In the 20th minute Vehbija Hazimović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Yarman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bosnia And Hercegovina's Bogdan Bijedić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Aswin in the 21st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Bosnia And Hercegovina's zone, Wahyu Dermawan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bogdan Bijedić came out of the goal and Wahyu Dermawan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 47 played minutes Malaysia got a freekick which was hit by Rabun Febrian. After the first half Bosnia And Hercegovina were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vehbija Hazimović to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Bosnia And Hercegovina's Asmir Ivešić slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Steve Yarman. That made the score 1-3 after 51 minutes of play. Asmir Ivešić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74thth minute of the game Wahyu Dermawan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bosnia And Hercegovina's Bogdan Bijedić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bulek Perangin-angin kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Bosnia And Hercegovina made a substitution. Tosun Studen replaced Vehbija Hazimović. In the 76th match minute, Malaysia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bulek Perangin-angin to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Bosnia And Hercegovina's Anel Svetkić slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Steve Yarman. That made the score 2-4 after 85 minutes of play. In the 88th minute Bento Reza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Bijedić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 90th minute, but Steve Yarman got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Malaysia hanging dry this time. Steve Yarman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tosun Studen in the 93rd minute of the match. Bogdan Bijedić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Aswin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Steve Yarman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bosnia And Hercegovina walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
