With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anders Dannervig in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Levon Khachaturyan saved U21 United States from getting behind. Kasper Schmeichel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raul Hubbard in the 10th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Gerardo Beard kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kasper Schmeichel. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Kasper Schmeichel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Beard, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the match, U21 United States's goal looked a bit too open when Runar Climur came free, but Levon Khachaturyan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24 played minutes U21 United States got a freekick which was hit by William Kerns. In the 25th minute, Runar Climur sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and U21 United States's Levon Khachaturyan didn't even have to move. In the 26th minute, Louie Fruekilde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kasper Schmeichel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Beard in the 28th minute of the match. Levon Khachaturyan came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Denmark's Ambrosius Bøievig. But to his dismay, Ambrosius Bøievig quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Kasper Schmeichel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeff Davila in the 32nd minute. Levon Khachaturyan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambrosius Bøievig in the 34th minute of the match. With his leg Kasper Schmeichel managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when U21 United States's Gerardo Beard fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, U21 Denmark's Kasper Schmeichel got control of the ball when Ross Strong tried to sneak it across the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Gerardo Beard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 United States's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Denmark the free kick. The supporters of U21 Denmark booed when U21 United States was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Beard didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anders Dannervig to strike the kick off in the second half. Ross Strong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. U21 United States's Sung McKinley was substituted for Ross Strong. U21 Denmark made a substitution. Sigfried Kastrupsen replaced Hilbert Lyvang. 69 minutes into the match, U21 United States's goalkeeper Levon Khachaturyan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mattias Verholt. Runar Climur made a great header on U21 Denmark's corner, it was just that U21 United States's Levon Khachaturyan managed to reach the ball for a save. U21 Denmark's Kasper Schmeichel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeff Davila in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute, U21 Denmark's Anders Dannervig ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Levon Khachaturyan. Levon Khachaturyan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Kasper Schmeichel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeff Davila in the 80th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Petros Oganesyan during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Petros Oganesyan hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, Runar Climur sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and U21 United States's Levon Khachaturyan didn't even have to move. Kasper Schmeichel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Beard in the 93rd minute of play.
