Spectators: 10300 (Terracing: 7725, Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Smid in the 2nd minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Benjamin De Middeleer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 3 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Rien Mik. Bertus Seinstra came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Belgium's Arnauld Tombuer. But to his dismay, Arnauld Tombuer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Bertus Seinstra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnauld Tombuer. When Belgium's Arnauld Tombuer in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Netherlands's goalie prevented a goal. Stephan Bernard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin De Middeleer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Arnauld Tombuer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bertus Seinstra. That made the score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. Arnauld Tombuer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arnauld Tombuer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Belgium's Sven Ceulemans in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Netherlands's goalie prevented a goal. 37 minutes into the match, Arnauld Tombuer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bertus Seinstra. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnauld Tombuer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Steven Waesbergen's late challenge caught a Belgium's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Steven Waesbergen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Belgium booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven Waesbergen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bertus Seinstra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnauld Tombuer in the 43rd minute of play. Benjamin De Middeleer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Smid in the 45th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Arnauld Tombuer came free, but Bertus Seinstra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bertus Seinstra had great luck who in the 48thth minute grab hold of the ball when Arnauld Tombuer from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven Ceulemans was the one to do the kick off. Benjamin De Middeleer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Reitsma in the 51st minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Arnauld Tombuer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bertus Seinstra. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnauld Tombuer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Benjamin Reitsma got a free kick in the 57th minute. Benjamin De Middeleer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stephan Bernard in the 61st minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Arnauld Tombuer notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Netherlands's Bertus Seinstra. Bertus Seinstra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 69 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Arnauld Tombuer came free, but Bertus Seinstra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benjamin De Middeleer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Reitsma, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Martin Broerse went to the cornerflag to take it. Bertus Seinstra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnauld Tombuer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stefaan Hensmans was slow to take the kick. During this time Belgium's players had a chance to rest. Stefaan Hensmans made a great header on Belgium's corner, it was just that Netherlands's Bertus Seinstra managed to reach the ball for a save. After 78 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Rien Mik. In the 80th minute Arnauld Tombuer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertus Seinstra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Arnauld Tombuer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bertus Seinstra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnauld Tombuer in the 84th minute of the match. Arnauld Tombuer struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Bertus Seinstra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgium. 87 minutes into the game, Berry Ritsma was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Netherlands's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belgium the free kick. Bertus Seinstra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnauld Tombuer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Sven Ceulemans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgium fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Belgium's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
