When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leo De Paepe made a kick off. Casper Planting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo De Paepe, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Patrick Claevers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 66 minutes into the game, Belgium's Leo De Paepe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Casper Planting made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Dirk de Boer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Patrick Claevers made a huge save. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Belgium's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Richard Bartele took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Richard Bartele got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Patrick Claevers quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Leo De Paepe took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casper Planting. Casper Planting dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Patrick Claevers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Eulen in the 82nd minute of play. After 93 minutes, Rinus Israel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Netherlands and the Belgium players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Rinus Israel got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The Belgium fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
