No goal. 36 minutes into the match, Lithuania's goal looked a bit too open when Haimon Karnoupakis came free, but Zenonas Kuprevičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanasis Mousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miglius Rupšys, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Cyprus's goal looked a bit too open when Miglius Rupšys came free, but Thanasis Mousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giorgos Robinho in the 64th minute of play forced Lithuania's goalkeeper Zenonas Kuprevičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cyprus's Akamas Pintzopoulos was substituted for Xanthos Rorris. Lithuania's Zenonas Kuprevičius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Lithuania from getting a goal against them. After having played for 89 minutes, Giorgos Robinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cyprus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giorgos Robinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Lithuania's goalkeeper Zenonas Kuprevičius, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 95th match minute, Cyprus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ibn Serkan to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute of the match Alfredas Zabulis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thanasis Mousa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lithuania's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
