If Mehmet Demirci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eray Toprak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shaun Kirkpatrick, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Andrea Pirlo lost his temper 18 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Fenrir Løkås did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Eray Toprak 25 minutes into the match. Eray Toprak didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when U21 England's Shaun Kirkpatrick shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-0 in the ordered_time% minute. After 32 played minutes U21 Turkey got a freekick which was hit by Baal Muncaster. Shaun Kirkpatrick took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eray Toprak. Eray Toprak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The supporters of U21 England booed when U21 Turkey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seyfullah Ağırtaş didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Shaun Kirkpatrick came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the U21 England fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shaun Kirkpatrick couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Shaun Kirkpatrick stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Shaun Kirkpatrick who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Turkey's Eray Toprak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fenrir Løkås fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eray Toprak having to interfere. Eray Toprak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fenrir Løkås's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. U21 England's Olivér Marty was substituted for Fenrir Løkås. 71 minutes into the match, Olivér Marty had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eray Toprak. U21 Turkey's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olivér Marty was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Ferdinho Kurt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Felix Crayon firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 75th minute, Olivér Marty made a precise shot to the right of Eray Toprak. U21 Turkey's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. Felix Crayon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seyfullah Ağırtaş, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute of the match U21 Turkey got a corner. U21 England's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bedih Erşahin ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Ferdinho Kurt heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. A collision led to U21 Turkey getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Ferdinho Kurt hit a great ball. Olivér Marty struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Eray Toprak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 England. In the 95th match minute, U21 Turkey was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Seyfullah Ağırtaş to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Olivér Marty got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. U21 England's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
