A collision led to U21 Norway getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Axel Walle hit a great ball. Rašo Vučković didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Steinar Flo went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Rašo Vučković made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steinar Flo in the 13th minute of play. Rašo Vučković showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rune Rundhaug in the 15th minute of the match. After some careless play in the U21 Montenegro defense, Rune Rundhaug kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rašo Vučković. The U21 Montenegro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rašo Vučković should have stopped the shot. In the 17th minute, Steinar Flo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, U21 Norway's Steinar Flo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rašo Vučković narrowly saved just below the crossbar. U21 Norway were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after U21 Montenegro's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Finn Ofstad took the corner. Thomas Myhre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vlatko Tica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rašo Vučković stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rune Rundhaug's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. A collision led to U21 Montenegro getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Vlatko Tica hit a great ball. After the first half U21 Norway were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vlatko Tica to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, U21 Montenegro's Rajko Dragišić got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Rašo Vučković acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 53rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Finn Ofstad. U21 Montenegro's Rašo Vučković proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save U21 Montenegro from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, U21 Montenegro's Rajko Dragišić got a free kick in the 70th minute. U21 Norway's Thomas Langås was substituted for C.J. Cox. U21 Norway's Alexander Salte was substituted for Ingar Svensen. U21 Norway made a substitution. Tor-Egil Gjertsen replaced Axel Walle. In the 72nd match minute, U21 Montenegro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rajko Dragišić to maneuver through the defense. U21 Norway's supporters rose to their feet, but Steinar Flo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rašo Vučković breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st minute, U21 Norway's Steinar Flo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Rašo Vučković made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Rundhaug in the 95th minute of play. The U21 Montenegro supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching U21 Norway's performance. The match ended with a win for U21 Norway.
