After 83 played minutes U21 Ireland got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Gordo. Donavon Doyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dong Scott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The U21 Canada fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when U21 Canada's Dong Scott looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 91st match minute, U21 Canada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aron Granger to maneuver through the defense. Norman Alonzo got in the 96th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Donavon Doyle. This was a shot which ended in a score of 0-6.
