Josef Buček could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Juan Cazorla made a huge save. Josef Buček fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Cazorla having to interfere. Tomáš Prášek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pau Nieto in the 8th minute of the match. Tomáš Prášek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pau Nieto, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Gaudencio Olle hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Juan Cazorla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavel Horváth, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute Josef Buček shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Cazorla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomáš Prášek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pau Nieto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomáš Prášek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Simon in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th minute Pavel Horváth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Cazorla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 87thth minute of the game Martín Barral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Czech Republic's Tomáš Prášek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leon Raus scored 2-3 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Cazorla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The U21 Czech Republic supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching U21 Spain's performance. The match ended with a win for U21 Spain.
