After some careless play in the U21 Turkey defense, Santos Dumond kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Turgay Şeren. The U21 Turkey fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Turgay Şeren should have stopped the shot. Turgay Şeren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santos Dumond, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Milton Kikuchi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Görkem Serin in the 61st minute of the match. Görkem Serin struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Milton Kikuchi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Turkey. U21 Brazil made a substitution. Everton Crisol replaced Régis Oliveira. U21 Brazil's Valdomiro de Godoi was substituted for Rogério Andrade. 70 minutes into the game, Everton Crisol cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Turgay Şeren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. U21 Turkey made a substitution. Fethi Nazil replaced Görkem Serin. Turgay Şeren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everton Crisol, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. But to his dismay, Everton Crisol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 83rd minute Everton Crisol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Turgay Şeren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, Everton Crisol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Turgay Şeren was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fethi Nazil in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Milton Kikuchi saved U21 Brazil from getting behind. In the 94th minute Everton Crisol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Turgay Şeren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hayri Torum in the 95th minute of play forced U21 Brazil's goalkeeper Milton Kikuchi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
