Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Marek Wyrostek made the kick off which started today's match. Hungary's Sándor Bán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marek Wyrostek in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hungary's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gustaw Petrasz was slow to take the kick. During this time Poland's players had a chance to rest. Miromir Zerde made a great header on Poland's corner, it was just that Hungary's Sándor Bán managed to reach the ball for a save. Sándor Bán showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marek Wyrostek in the 12th minute of the match. Aleksander Mroczynski kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Gianluigi Donnarumma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Che Guevara, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. With an all-out effort, Hungary's Gianluigi Donnarumma threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Che Guevara, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Che Guevara got free with Gianluigi Donnarumma in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marek Wyrostek might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sándor Bán. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marek Wyrostek ran back to his position shaking his head. 41 minutes into the match, Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Levente Lendvay came free, but Gianluigi Donnarumma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marek Wyrostek in the 47th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Sándor Bán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The supporters of Hungary booed when Poland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaw Petrasz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Poland supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Poland would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
