With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thanasis Mousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 10 minutes in the game Pedrão Batista did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Tiago Bampi. U21 Cyprus's Thanasis Mousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitório Trevisan in the 14th minute of play. Pedrão Batista got a throw-in 16 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Caetano Costa. The supporters of U21 Cyprus booed when U21 Brazil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Bampi didn't get a good kick on the ball. U21 Brazil's Gilmar Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salmakis Antoniadis in the 24th minute of play. Gilmar Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salmakis Antoniadis in the 30th minute of play. Thanasis Mousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Trevisan in the 32nd minute of play. U21 Brazil's Gilmar Neiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Brazil from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute of the match U21 Brazil got a corner. U21 Cyprus's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tiago Bampi ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led U21 Brazil's Caetano Costa to fire away a dangerous shot which Thanasis Mousa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thanasis Mousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitório Trevisan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanasis Mousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitório Trevisan, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Felipe Canto managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Brazil's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Canto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thanasis Mousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 64 minutes of play, U21 Brazil's Caetano Costa made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thanasis Mousa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanasis Mousa was a little too slow when Vitório Trevisan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 1-4. Thanasis Mousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitório Trevisan in the 78th minute of the match. Thanasis Mousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitório Trevisan, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Anestis Kaglantge charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anestis Kaglantge the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. U21 Brazil's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
