In the 96th match minute, U21 Iceland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Þyrnir Árnason to maneuver through the defense. Peter Gunnarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geoffrey Delaney in the 97th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. U21 Ireland had won after a very even match.
