With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aldo Popolizio in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nikita Bespalov saved U21 Kyrgyzstan from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Soykan Son in the 11th minute of play forced U21 Kyrgyzstan's goalkeeper Nikita Bespalov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The U21 Kyrgyzstan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nikita Bespalov should have stopped the shot. Nikita Bespalov came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Peru's Xulian Cadimo. But to his dismay, Xulian Cadimo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Nikita Bespalov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Soykan Son, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Angelo Guau ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nikita Bespalov was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emmanuil Antopolskiy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Petr Mutovkin kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Xulian Cadimo's late challenge caught a U21 Kyrgyzstan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xulian Cadimo helped the player get up and apologised.
