U21 Algeria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Tunisia the free kick. In the 15th minute, Okacha Ibrir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes in the game Khaled Baccouche did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Khaled Baccouche. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmed Bargawi in the 25th minute of play forced U21 Algeria's goalkeeper Rochdi Bentaala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moustafa Ghodhbane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naïm Zidane in the 27th minute of play. U21 Algeria's Ramzi Firoud quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Khaled Baccouche, made in the 29th minute of the game. U21 Algeria's Rochdi Bentaala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Riadh Mechergui in the 32nd minute of play. Abdeljelil Slimane charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abdeljelil Slimane the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Abdeljelil Slimane kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Rochdi Bentaala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehdi Sebki in the 37th minute of play. After 40 played minutes U21 Algeria got a freekick which was hit by Hassan Lamine. Abdeljelil Slimane got his second yellow card in the match during the 44th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of U21 Algeria booed when U21 Tunisia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdeljelil Slimane didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moustafa Ghodhbane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naïm Zidane in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The corner led to U21 Tunisia's Mohieddine Jaidi getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 59th match minute, U21 Algeria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Lampard to maneuver through the defense. U21 Tunisia's Mohieddine Jaidi got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Naïm Zidane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Khaled Baccouche made in the 70th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Mohieddine Jaidi. In the 70th minute, Abdechahid Zidane got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mohieddine Jaidi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Rochdi Bentaala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Khaled Baccouche made in the 78th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Mohieddine Jaidi however managed to control. Naïm Zidane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 84thth minute of the game Naïm Zidane who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Tunisia's Moustafa Ghodhbane was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When U21 Algeria's Naïm Zidane in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Tunisia's goalie prevented a goal. Naïm Zidane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moustafa Ghodhbane having to interfere. Naïm Zidane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the game, Khaled Baccouche threw the ball into play from the sideline. U21 Algeria's Ramzi Firoud quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Mohieddine Jaidi charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The U21 Algeria fans cheered their team off the field, for while U21 Tunisia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
