Recep Vatansever didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Bolivia's goalkeeper Huly Abar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Austin Legg. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Austin Legg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luxembourg's supporters rose to their feet, but Austin Legg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Huly Abar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Otoniel Abascal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Bolivia booed when Luxembourg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Featherstone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luxembourg's Trey Carlick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lehoi Abeita in the 43rd minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Lucas Eagles was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 52 minutes into the match. In the 52nd minute, one of Luxembourg:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Luxembourg. Trey Carlick went to the wrong direction when Cordarius Abaunza was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Trey Carlick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cordarius Abaunza in the 58th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Cordarius Abaunza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Trey Carlick was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Huly Abar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Recep Vatansever, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Huly Abar came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Luxembourg's Recep Vatansever. But to his dismay, Recep Vatansever quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Bolivia's Hats Abechuco was substituted for Manu Abenda. Cordarius Abaunza did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Trey Carlick 79 minutes into the match. When Cordarius Abaunza came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Bolivia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cordarius Abaunza couldn't finish the play. When Recep Vatansever came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Luxembourg fans jumped to their feet. Trey Carlick was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bolivia's Lehoi Abeita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Trey Carlick in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Luxembourg fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Bolivia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
