If Lorenzo Sanjuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venezuela's Eudoxio Tumiraos got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vsevolod Onyschenko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casomiro Obina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Svyatoslav Pavlenko came free, but Nuno Losado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute of the match Ukraine got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vyacheslav Shpak ran over to the corner to take the kick. Vyacheslav Shpak made a great header on Ukraine's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Nuno Losado managed to reach the ball for a save. Vsevolod Onyschenko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eudoxio Tumiraos in the 44th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Diego Agustin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela made a substitution. Gaztea Aquejano replaced Lorenzo Sanjuan. If Bogdan Guk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nuno Losado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Guk in the 77th minute of play. Venezuela's Nuno Losado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Guk in the 79th minute of play. The corner led Ukraine's Vyacheslav Shpak to fire away a dangerous shot which Nuno Losado despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eudoxio Tumiraos got free with Vsevolod Onyschenko in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vsevolod Onyschenko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaztea Aquejano in the 83rd minute of play.
