After 10 minutes, Danang Sugandi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Indonesia and the U21 Bulgaria players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, U21 Indonesia's Danang Sugandi got a free kick in the 10th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Omurtag Penkov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Bulgaria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Indonesia the free kick. Tentara Api's late challenge caught a U21 Bulgaria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tentara Api helped the player get up and apologised. Chavdar Shapkarev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Uci Gultom made a huge save. In the 21st minute, Pangeran Cinta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Indonesia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Chavdar Shapkarev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Uci Gultom having to make a save. U21 Indonesia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Willy Prasadha in the 33rd minute. Bogdan Kefirov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willy Prasadha in the 39th minute of play. Bogdan Kefirov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alif Wisanggeni went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Bogdan Kefirov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willy Prasadha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute Aswin Wijayanto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Kefirov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half U21 Indonesia were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Chavdar Shapkarev made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, U21 Bulgaria's Bogdan Kefirov got control of the ball when Willy Prasadha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chavdar Shapkarev's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uci Gultom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. U21 Indonesia made a substitution. Raja Gombal replaced Willy Prasadha. U21 Bulgaria's Bogdan Kefirov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Bulgaria from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as U21 Indonesia's Raja Gombal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bogdan Kefirov. That made the score 2-3 after 76 minutes of play. U21 Bulgaria made a substitution. Stavri Kovachki replaced Bozhidar Kusev. In the 81st minute, Penyo Tunev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, U21 Bulgaria's Penyo Tunev got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute U21 Indonesia were awarded a corner. Raja Gombal went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Aang Arifin managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 89 minutes of play, U21 Indonesia's Aswin Wijayanto made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bogdan Kefirov was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Bogdan Kefirov managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when U21 Indonesia's Aswin Wijayanto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 94 minutes into the match, U21 Indonesia's goal looked a bit too open when Valkan Chemshirov came free, but Uci Gultom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The U21 Bulgaria fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. U21 Indonesia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
