The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Keith Adams got the match started through his kick off. Wayne Cash fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Carmichael having to interfere. Mario Sönmez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Michael Carmichael made a huge save. Michael Carmichael was a little too slow when Mario Sönmez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. Trinidad & Tobago's Michael Carmichael proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Trinidad & Tobago from getting a goal against them. Enrique Frederick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angus Nakhid in the 18th minute of play. Michael Carmichael made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Oliver Lussier sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot 24 in the game by Oliver Lussier from a close distance when the talented Michael Carmichael managed to make a qualified save. Trinidad & Tobago's players were relieved. Oliver Lussier in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Michael Carmichael, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Trinidad & Tobago's Manny Vidale got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute Oliver Lussier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Carmichael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Devon Richards in the 35th minute of play forced Canada's goalkeeper Enrique Frederick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Trinidad & Tobago's Devon Richards got a free kick in the 36th minute. Michael Carmichael made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tuan McCord in the 37th minute. Tuan McCord's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Michael Carmichael firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mario Sönmez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Michael Carmichael when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Michael Carmichael didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Canada's Mario Sönmez shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Trinidad & Tobago's Michael Carmichael proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Trinidad & Tobago from getting a goal against them. Mario Sönmez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Carmichael having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Claude Duhamel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michael Carmichael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Sönmez in the 54th minute of play. David Castagne was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 55 minutes into the match. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Trinidad & Tobago! The referee gave Canada a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Oliver Lussier, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Trinidad & Tobago's Michael Carmichael. 4-0. 60 minutes into the match, Trinidad & Tobago's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Lussier came free, but Michael Carmichael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oliver Lussier took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michael Carmichael. Michael Carmichael dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After having played for 70 minutes, Keith Adams managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trinidad & Tobago's supporters crossed their fingers, but Keith Adams was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Michael Carmichael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Sönmez in the 73rd minute of play. Wayne Cash took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michael Carmichael. Michael Carmichael dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Enrique Frederick was a little too slow when Angus Nakhid got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 6-1. Howard Richards charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Howard Richards the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 87 played minutes Trinidad & Tobago got a freekick which was hit by Howard Richards. After some careless play in the Trinidad & Tobago defense, Léopold Bell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michael Carmichael. The Trinidad & Tobago fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michael Carmichael should have stopped the shot. Michael Carmichael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wayne Cash, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enrique Frederick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angus Nakhid in the 94th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Trinidad & Tobago's zone, Claude Duhamel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Carmichael came out of the goal and Claude Duhamel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After recieving a nice pass, Canada's Hugues Guernon tried to score from far away in the 99th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Canada had played much better football throughout.
