Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Julien Guilband took the kick off in the first half of the match. Afonso Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Handi Gottesman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emílio Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute Afonso Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Handi Gottesman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Handi Gottesman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vítor Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Müller in the 25th minute of the match. Afonso Antunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Handi Gottesman made a huge save. Portugal's Afonso Antunes came free and shot a quick shot against goal 59 minutes in the game, fortunately Handi Gottesman had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Tomas Müller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso Antunes in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Handi Gottesman saved Switzerland from getting behind. Handi Gottesman made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Afonso Antunes sent off a good shot on target. Vítor Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard Genazzi in the 73rd minute of the match. When Tomas Müller fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Switzerland's protests and gave Tomas Müller a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th minute, Tomas Müller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Daniel in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Jorge Daniel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Handi Gottesman when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 85th minute of the match Portugal got a corner. Switzerland's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paulo Santos ran over to the corner to take the kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Paulo Setúbal advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-4 in the 85th minute. Demba Toure got a throw-in 94 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gerard Genazzi. Handi Gottesman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorge Daniel went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Portugal walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
