With a little luck, Brazil's Lucimar Barcelos got control of the ball when Davy Klaassen tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Davy Klaassen made a kick off. In the 51st minute Vitório Carioca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corné Heida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vitório Carioca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3.
