U21 Israel's Almog Nadavi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Israel from getting a goal against them. After 6 minutes U21 Israel's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Remus Ionașcu who took care of the corner kick. Eliam Zapler thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Almog Nadavi, a very annoying self made goal in the 6th minute which led to 1-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in U21 Israel fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! Almog Nadavi had in the 9thth minute some difficulties stopping Ivan Groșan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball 9 minutes into the match, Ivan Groșan notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of U21 Israel's Almog Nadavi. Almog Nadavi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Basarab Chiper came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Israel's Ellis Buchrice. But to his dismay, Ellis Buchrice quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Basarab Chiper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ellis Buchrice in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, U21 Israel's Dabi Ritz got a free kick in the 21st minute. After having played for 21 minutes, Remus Ionașcu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Romania's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remus Ionașcu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petruț Juverdeanu in the 23rd minute of play forced U21 Israel's goalkeeper Almog Nadavi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Șerban Hagi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A nice corner shot did that Petruț Sorin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Almog Nadavi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 28 minutes into the match, Petruț Juverdeanu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Almog Nadavi, 3-1. In the 31st minute, Ellis Buchrice left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Israel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Ellis Buchrice blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basarab Chiper having to make a save. The supporters of U21 Romania booed when U21 Israel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Menahem-Mendel Rokach didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petruț Juverdeanu in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Almog Nadavi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Deker Tsafrir fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Israel's protests and gave Deker Tsafrir a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Deker Tsafrir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remus Ionașcu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Almog Nadavi having to make a save. The supporters of U21 Romania booed when U21 Israel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esav Falkovich didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute Ivan Groșan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almog Nadavi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. U21 Israel's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Petruț Juverdeanu scored to the left of an out of position Almog Nadavi, making the score, 4-2. U21 Romania's Radu Dascălu was substituted for Petruț Sorin. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Petruț Juverdeanu was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, U21 Israel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dabi Belzer to maneuver through the defense. Esav Falkovich succeeded in the game's 61st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-3. U21 Israel's Almog Nadavi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petruț Juverdeanu in the 67th minute of play. In the 74th match minute, U21 Romania was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sorin Cîrțu to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to U21 Romania getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Sorin Cîrțu hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esav Falkovich in the 76th minute of play forced U21 Romania's goalkeeper Basarab Chiper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute of the match U21 Israel got a corner. U21 Romania's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ellis Buchrice ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on U21 Israel's corner Ellis Buchrice fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Basarab Chiper quite easily take care of the ball. Almog Nadavi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sorin Cîrțu in the 79th minute of the match. Hiel Walters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basarab Chiper having to interfere. Ivan Groșan might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Almog Nadavi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivan Groșan ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivan Groșan in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Almog Nadavi saved U21 Israel from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ellis Buchrice in the 98th minute of play forced U21 Romania's goalkeeper Basarab Chiper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U21 Romania were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of U21 Israel for a fine match.
