The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Melquiades Primeiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ferrando Isassi. That made the score 1-0 after 32 minutes of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blanco Cruzat in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abel Perez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th minute, Ivan Sansone ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal.
