An unexpectedly hard shot by Beltxe Gaviria in the 20th minute of play forced Egypt's goalkeeper Abdel Haleem Ziyad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Cilio Gambo put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Abdel Haleem Ziyad. 27 minutes into the match, Cilio Gambo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Egypt's Abdel Haleem Ziyad. Abdel Haleem Ziyad was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Menendo Cabañas made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Mamdouh Ibrahim sent off a good shot on target. Wael Gomaa hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Wael Gomaa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Menendo Cabañas. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wael Gomaa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. 37 minutes into the match, Egypt's goal looked a bit too open when Beltxe Gaviria came free, but Abdel Haleem Ziyad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cilio Gambo was the one to do the kick off. Cilio Gambo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Abdel Haleem Ziyad came out and tried to block the shot, but Cilio Gambo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mamdouh Ibrahim in the 54th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Menendo Cabañas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Wael Gomaa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Menendo Cabañas came out of the goal and Wael Gomaa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peru made a substitution. Ixaka Gonta replaced Cilio Gambo. Peru's Jeremy Ojea was substituted for Umea Munaya. Beltxe Gaviria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Menendo Cabañas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yousif Ramadan, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Ixaka Gontas short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Abdel Haleem Ziyad to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Egypt's Ismail Nizar got a free kick in the 68th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ixaka Gonta got free with Abdel Haleem Ziyad in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ixaka Gonta scored 2-4 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abdel Haleem Ziyad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Egypt's Abdel Haleem Ziyad got control of the ball when Fliz Baraña tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fliz Baraña was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ixaka Gonta got free with Abdel Haleem Ziyad in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mamdouh Ibrahim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abdel Haleem Ziyad came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Ixaka Gonta. But to his dismay, Ixaka Gonta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Peru had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
