Seating: 2377, VIP seats: 206) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Álvaro Reinoso got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute, Edgard Belmiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, U21 Argentina's Kian Serafini sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Johnny Herrera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 13 minutes into the game, Miguel Ángel Serey threw the ball into play from the sideline. U21 Argentina's Samuel Jerico quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Johnny Herrera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Belmiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 21st match minute, U21 Argentina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Belmiro to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, U21 Argentina's Cirilo Afonso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Johnny Herrera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Miguel Ángel Serey made in the 26th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Asier Cisternas. Angelo Sergi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Rolando in the 27th minute of play. Kian Serafini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. U21 Chile's Johnny Herrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kian Serafini in the 32nd minute of play. Asier Cisternas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Sergi having to interfere. Angelo Sergi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristiano Rolando in the 37th minute. Johnny Herrera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kian Serafini, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 38th minute Kian Serafini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Herrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Ángel Serey got a throw-in 44 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Asier Cisternas. Cristiano Rolando scored 1-0 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angelo Sergi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kian Serafini to strike the kick off in the second half. Johnny Herrera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kian Serafini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, U21 Argentina's Cirilo Afonso got a free kick in the 55th minute. When Alberto Jeraldo came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the U21 Argentina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Jeraldo couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Rolando kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 73 minutes into the game, when Cristiano Amaya put in a rough tackle. U21 Chile's Carlos Valdebenito was substituted for Álvaro Reinoso. U21 Chile's Domingo Diestre was substituted for Asier Cisternas. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of U21 Chile:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of U21 Argentina:s goal. Johnny Herrera had in the 75thth minute some difficulties stopping Alberto Jeraldo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 77th minute, Domingo Diestre made a precise shot to the right of Angelo Sergi. U21 Argentina's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Diestre in the 80th minute of play forced U21 Argentina's goalkeeper Angelo Sergi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johnny Herrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kian Serafini in the 82nd minute of play. U21 Argentina's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alberto Jeraldo in the 83rd minute. Robustiano Gutierrez made a great header on U21 Argentina's corner, it was just that U21 Chile's Johnny Herrera managed to reach the ball for a save. The throw-in from Miguel Ángel Serey in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by U21 Argentina's Samuel Jerico. After a rather tough play, U21 Chile's Pacífico Rio got a free kick in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Valdebenito in the 94th minute of play forced U21 Argentina's goalkeeper Angelo Sergi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Sergi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Diestre, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. U21 Chile walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
