In the 94th minute Álvaro Reinoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keylor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Sugar in the 95th minute of play forced U21 Chile's goalkeeper Johnny Herrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded U21 Chile left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than U21 Argentina.
