Ignacio Quiroga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Dijoux in the 12th minute of the match. Darío Friederichs came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Clark Kent could save by the left post. Zorros del Desierto's Clark Kent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Enoch in the 19th minute of play. Nicolás Tagliani took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ignacio Quiroga. Ignacio Quiroga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Clark Kent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glenn Fyfe in the 26th minute of the match. If Darío Friederichs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Dijoux in the 33rd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Ignacio Quiroga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clark Kent made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Darío Friederichs sent off a good shot on target. Zorros del Desierto's Clark Kent proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Zorros del Desierto from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Alex Dijoux put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ignacio Quiroga. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Dijoux in the 44th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Ignacio Quiroga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Chile's Darío Friederichs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clark Kent made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex Dijoux stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Glenn Fyfe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clark Kent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darío Friederichs in the 54th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Zorros del Desierto's goal looked a bit too open when Darío Friederichs came free, but Clark Kent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Zorros del Desierto's Zenaido Oviedo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Zenaido Oviedo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Zorros del Desierto protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Zenaido Oviedo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Zorros del Desierto:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chile:s goal. Zorros del Desierto:s Clark Kent showed great skill when he stopped Filomeno Olivos:s penalty. A collision led to Zorros del Desierto getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Alex Dijoux hit a great ball. Clark Kent showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darío Friederichs, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Chile's Glenn Fyfe quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luis Alberto Spinetta, made in the 95th minute of the game. Clark Kent took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darío Friederichs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Darío Verón had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Zorros del Desierto players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
