With a little luck, Chevaliers FC's Niculae Ailenei got control of the ball when Răzvan Ioanițiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Navarro in the 17th minute of play forced Romania's goalkeeper Niculae Ailenei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Răzvan Ioanițiu got free with Niculae Ailenei in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Niculae Ailenei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris-George Chevalier in the 20th minute of the match. Chevaliers FC's Niculae Ailenei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Chevaliers FC from getting a goal against them. In the 26th minute of the match, Emanuel Mălăele tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Niculae Ailenei saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 29th minute, Romania's Răzvan Ioanițiu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Mălăele in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niculae Ailenei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Niculae Ailenei successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Niculae Ailenei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris-George Chevalier in the 44th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The supporters of Romania booed when Chevaliers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Higuera didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Isăilă in the 52nd minute of play forced Chevaliers FC's goalkeeper Niculae Ailenei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute of the match Romania got a corner. Chevaliers FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Isac Zub ran over to the corner to take the kick. Niculae Ailenei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikola Vlašić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niculae Ailenei made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Antonio Navarro sent off a good shot on target. Niculae Ailenei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serginho Ramos went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 68th minute Serginho Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niculae Ailenei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romania's Ciprian Toma was substituted for Emanuel Mălăele. A nice corner shot did that Aurel Lovin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Niculae Ailenei quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 73rd minute Ciprian Toma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niculae Ailenei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niculae Ailenei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikola Vlašić in the 75th minute of the match. Chevaliers FC were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Romania's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pompiliu Fărcașu took the corner. Romania's supporters rose to their feet, but Mihnea Stanca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niculae Ailenei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Chevaliers FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Nikola Vlašić hit a great ball. In the 95th minute, Răzvan Ioanițiu made a precise shot to the right of Niculae Ailenei. Chevaliers FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chevaliers FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Romania.
