With an all-out effort, Thornhill City's Christian Oporto threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Radoman Karaičić, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 12 minutes into the game, Svetoslav Legomanov threw the ball into play from the sideline. Thornhill City's Marko Vidanović quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radoman Karaičić in the 19th minute of play forced GATE's goalkeeper Christian Oporto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd match minute, GATE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svetoslav Legomanov to maneuver through the defense. Thornhill City's Sima Ignjatović quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Svetoslav Legomanov, made in the 25th minute of the game. Radoman Karaičić ran back to his position shaking his head. Vidosav Joksimović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignat Kyushev in the 44th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Thornhill City made a substitution. Zhuo Le Kun replaced Radoman Karaičić. The wind increased when Zhuo Le Kun made the kick off in the second half. GATE's Christian Oporto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sima Ignjatović in the 55th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Svetoslav Legomanov threw the ball into play from the sideline. Thornhill City's Miroslav Kulić quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A collision led to Thornhill City getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. The GATE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christian Oporto should have stopped the shot. Siniša Ognjanović kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to GATE getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Svetoslav Legomanov hit a great ball. Thornhill City's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
