Ingmar Kracke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Spartans FC's zone, Navarro Escalona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haroldas Strazdas came out of the goal and Navarro Escalona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cyprian Mitus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edson Pelé, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cyprian Mitus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Tauro in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Pedro Domingues ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cyprian Mitus was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bairon Berger in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cyprian Mitus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cyprian Mitus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cyprian Mitus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 36 minutes into the match, Resistencia Tayrona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bairon Berger came free, but Cyprian Mitus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cyprian Mitus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bairon Berger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ospetsu Villagarcia during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Spartans FC's Haroldas Strazdas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Spartans FC from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Domingues in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cyprian Mitus saved Resistencia Tayrona FC from getting behind. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Valentín Coromina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Cyprian Mitus made a huge save. The corner led Spartans FC's Miguel Tauro to fire away a dangerous shot which Cyprian Mitus despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Pedro Domingues in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cyprian Mitus, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sayed Mustafa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Cyprian Mitus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 55 played minutes Resistencia Tayrona FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Rioja. In the 61st minute, Pedro Domingues made a precise shot to the right of Cyprian Mitus. Resistencia Tayrona FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Zafer Yalçıner hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. If Edson Pelé had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edson Pelé blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cyprian Mitus having to make a save. Edson Pelé could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Cyprian Mitus made a huge save. In the last second Cyprian Mitus throw himself and got hold of the ball when Pedro Domingues in the 71stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 75 minutes into the match, Spartans FC's Pedro Domingues sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cyprian Mitus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Bairon Berger came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Spartans FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bairon Berger couldn't finish the play. Resistencia Tayrona FC made a substitution. Sydney Baiano replaced Zafer Yalçıner. Resistencia Tayrona FC made a substitution. Xusto Lasquibar replaced Maore Tejerina. Leonides Rioja kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Cyprian Mitus was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Pedro Domingues capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pedro Domingues really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. A collision led to Spartans FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Edgar San Juan hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Spartans FC's Valentín Coromina got a free kick in the 89th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 96 minutes into the game, when Eugenios Spetsarias put in a rough tackle. Haroldas Strazdas had in the 99thth minute some difficulties stopping Ingmar Kracke's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 100th minute of the match Resistencia Tayrona FC got a corner. Spartans FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ospetsu Villagarcia ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Ospetsu Villagarcia got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Haroldas Strazdas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Spartans FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
